Chinese phone maker Doogee is expected to launch new rugged phones, tablets and smartphones next month, and we’ve just received the detailed specs and images of one of the most exciting among them. Dubbed the Doogee V Max, it will come with a solid spec sheet and an unprecedentedly large battery.

The Doogee V Max will sport a 6.58″ FullHD+ 120Hz IPS screen with Gorilla Glass protection and a notch for the 32MP selfie camera (Sony IMX616, 90° FOV). Its rear panel will have a leather-like finish and a design heavily inspired by Vertu phones of the past.

The triple camera system on the back comprises a 108MP primary (Samsung S5KHM2SP03), 20MP night vision (Sony IMX350), and 16MP ultrawide unit. The last one will have a 130° FOV and autofocus to let you capture macro shots. These shooters are flanked by two flashes on the left side and two infrared night vision lights on the right side.

The Doogee V Max will have the Dimensity 1080 SoC under the hood with 12GB of RAM (basically expandable up to 19GB) and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage expandable via TF cards. The smartphone will run Android 12, but it’s unclear how many OS updates it will get.

That said, the highlight of the Doogee V Max is its massive 22,000mAh battery, which charges via a USB-C port at up to 33W. Once launched, it will likely take the crown for the biggest battery smartphone in the Oukitel WP19 rugged smartphone that packs a 21,000mAh cell.

We are told that the Doogee V Max with its 22,000mAh cell will have 6-10 days of battery life in “normal use”, 100 hours of calls or 64 days on standby. A phone with such a large battery is bound to be chunky, and the Doogee V Max will be 27.3mm thick. We don’t know how heavy it will be, but we bet the answer is “a lot”.

The rest of the Doogee V Max’s highlights include NFC (with Google Pay support), a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and 5G connectivity. Additionally, the V Max will sport a customizable key on the left side and come with IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certifications. It also complies with high-resolution audio standards set by the Japan Audio Association.

The Doogee V Max will be offered in Sunshine Gold, Classic Black and Moonshine Silver colors. We don’t know how much the Doogee V Max will cost, but you can expect Doogee to start its promotional campaign soon.
