Next week, Square Enix will launch a recurring digital showcase event called Square Enix Presents. And the debut episode will include the world premiere of the next installment of the Life Is Strange series.
The original Life Is Strange felt like a real breath of fresh air. It combined great music, engaging characters, and tough moral choices with a mechanic that lets you go back in time and repeat most events and conversations.
After the success of that game, Square Enix brought us a prequel (Life Is Strange: Before the Storm) and a sequel (Life Is Strange 2). We don’t know much about this upcoming game, except that it will contain a new protagonist and a new power that players will be able to master.
While the upcoming Life Is Strange game is the main title, there will be much more to see in this digital event. There will be additional videos and announcements for titles like Marvel’s Avengers, Outriders, Balan Wonderworld, and the Just Cause mobile port. We’ll also learn more about Tomb Raider’s 25th anniversary events and game announcements from Square Enix Montréal and Taito.
The first show of this digital event will run for 40 minutes, and players will be able to watch it on Square Enix’s official YouTube and Twitch channels starting Thursday, March 18 at 10am PT / 1pm ET.
