Nokia announced the creation of Nokia Federal Solutions, a subdivision that will work closely with the US federal government to provide critical technology and services to various agencies.
The NFS will provide solutions to U.S.-specific requirements, including IP routing, optical networking, microwave, 5G, private wireless, and tactical private wireless technology.

Tommi Uitto, President of Nokia’s mobile networks, said that this step is important for the company’s future in the defense sector.
Mike Loomis has been named president of Nokia Federal Solutions. He said in a press release that the dedicated entity was established to provide local presence, technology and expertise, and that the NFS is an investment towards partnership with the United States.
