This week we’ll be taking a look at a wide assortment of phones, focusing mostly on high-end devices, although there are some mid-range phones here as well.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is $50 cheaper than last week. The beta version of One UI 9 (based on Android 17) is already available for testing: the United States is one of the few selected regions where Samsung is conducting its first tests. The new version will bring improvements in accessibility, new security features, better controls for the Quick Panel, and so on.

It’s early for an official “save the date,” but we expect the next generation of foldable Galaxy to be announced on July 22nd. That means the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be replaced soon, though you can’t tell from its price: It’s $200 off, which is the same as two weeks ago and the same as early April, too.

The cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE disappeared after launch. It’s still around, it’s just not in the spotlight, but if you want a cheap clamshell foldable and it has to be a Samsung, this is the one. The launch price was quite ambitious – $1,000 for the 256GB model – but the $400 discount makes it more attractive.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is also at a big discount, $350, although that makes a slight dent in its high base price. Maybe wait a couple of months and see if the rumored Galaxy Z Wide is better suited to you.

Last week, Motorola’s new foldable Flips were still up for pre-order – they went on sale this week, however, supplies appear to be limited as only some of the color options are showing as ‘in stock’. It’s on Amazon: Check out Motorola US’s deals, which include free Moto Buds 2 Plus and Moto Tags.

For our money, last year’s Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is still the one to get if you go with a clamshell Moto.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 is $75 off — that’s the same discount as last week, but we wanted to highlight it since this budget phone won our blind selfie video test. We say “cheap” because some of its competitors cost six times more (among the competitors was also the S26 Ultra).

If you want to take a break from the big smartphone brands, the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R are currently $50 off. That’s not much, admittedly, but these two were already competitively priced.

Another alternative brand for the US market is Nothing. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is currently $50 off but only for the base 128GB model. At these prices, you’re better off with the Nothing Phone (3) – while it’s never been a true flagship, it has higher-end hardware than the (4a) Pro.

Finally, this week Sony introduced its new premium over-ear headphones, the Sony 1000X The ColleXion (which the company assures us is pronounced “collection”). We have a couple to review and will soon report how they compare to previous generations like the XM6 and XM5. By the way, those two are for sale.
