Multiplayer mode
The magic of BO4 lies in its diversity of multiplayer modes, which will likely continue to expand as long as Treyarch and Activision continue to invest in the game. At any time, you can log in to play standard modes like 6v6 Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill style Hardpoint mode. There is a casual game, but those in the mood for a real challenge can jump to the Hardcore modes designed for the more competitive. Additional and experimental game modes being activated and deactivated for a short time, keeping the game fresh and players active.
The maps are visually impressive and well built, with many paying homage to past Black Ops maps, such as fan-favorite Nuketown. Players can unlock additional maps, and while most maps such as the recently released Arsenal Sandstorm are available for free with the main game, some maps are only unlockable with the game’s Black Ops Pass, available for an additional fee.

Shooting
Shooting has always been the driving force behind the Call of Duty series, and Treyarch has done a great job of keeping this legacy alive here. Game and gun mechanics are smoother in Black Ops 4 than many other FPS games, meaning a player can waste hours dodging and sliding through maps and catching enemies by surprise. The rewards for brilliant play are like the icing on the cake, so much so that even casual gamers find themselves coming back to improve their gameplay and earn significant in-game accolades. Automatic health regeneration, a long-standing element of Call of Duty gameplay that has been phased out in Black Ops 4, appears to give the player more control and is a welcome change.
Players can quickly acquire and level up through the game and can also unlock customizations to assist with the tactical aspects of the game. While standard assault rifles like the ICR-7 and Maddox RFB are reliable foundations, there is something so satisfying about landing challenging sniper shooting, thus encouraging players to test and experiment with loadouts.
Unlockable perks offer additional perks, such as Dexterity, which allows for better weapon handling and character movement. Grind hard and you can earn Prestige or even Prestige Master status – more than 16,000,000 XP will be required to earn the coveted title.
