Visually, there isn’t much to talk about as this is exactly what you would expect from a kart driver. It is not the most graphically impressive game you can play. However, it does its job quite well and still manages to stay true to the world of Crash Bandicoot.

Plus, there are no real performance issues or glitches. A nice feature is the ability to choose between soundtracks. You can switch between the original game music and remastered versions of the songs. So, if you want to go full nostalgia, the choice is there.

Final verdict

The kart racing genre has long been dominated by Mario Kart. While many more titles have come to try and dethrone the champion, few have come close. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is perhaps the best rival the series has right now. It is colorful, exciting and a lot of fun.

The only real problem is the difficulty spikes in adventure mode and the recently added microtransactions. Considering the amount of content at your disposal and the refined gameplay, these are problems that can easily be forgiven.
