Konami hasn’t made big strides when it comes to the game modes on offer. The usual suspects are still all present and there is nothing new to entice players into.
Players have access to the Master League where they can face the ultimate management and gaming challenge. There is also “Become a Legend”. This puts the emphasis on a player, allowing you to play exclusively as them as you build his career.
The “myClubs” mode also makes a return in PES 2018. Essentially serving as an alternative to FIFA’s Ultimate Team, it has improved significantly in this version. However, the truth is that it still can’t directly compete with EA’s most popular game mode. It’s just not that refined or fun to build a team from scratch.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 best shows its strengths when it comes to fully licensed tournaments. Both the Champions League and the Europa League are here to have fun.
