Unlimited control

All MMOs have a character creation screen where you choose your race and class. But Rift takes it a step further with in-game cosmetic items and armor sets, giving you almost unlimited control over what your character can look like.

Do you want to be a fearsome swagger? Just do it. A terrifying and monstrous destroyer? Get bulky and find the right armor set.

Rift allows you to express yourself through your character. Whether it’s the look or the style of play or a combination of both, in Telara you can be anyone.

Fractures

One of the main strengths of the Rift are the dynamic rift events that can occur anywhere and anytime. For these, players must team up and defeat the monsters that spawn to close the rift, gaining loot and experience in the process. These fractures lead to zone progression, which ultimately leads to a boss encounter in the open world, requiring even more players to join.

In this way, Rift creates the community game, bringing together players from all over the area to stop a common enemy. For me, it’s one of the best parts of the game cycle in Rift. The main story can wait, there are rifts to close!

Rift has a huge amount of content, for every race in both factions, ranging from PVE to PVP and everything in between. While some players who are just getting into the Rift might find this off-putting or think they could never catch up, this amount of content allows you to level up and catch up more quickly.
