I am getting "app not installed error" from trying to install the apk file. I was playing with the earlier version, but after an system software update of my device I cannot install the modded game as I used to. Any idea how to fix this?

I tried lucky patcher v8.6.3, same crashes.

I am having the same problem. Click on any item in shop and the app crash. I do have the latest Lucky Patcher.

Have you tried uninstall this, install the original google store version, log in with you account, than replace it with this modded version. It solved this problem for me in a previous update.
