Good day,
Yesterday I lost electricity because of a storm, I had to save up my phone's battery for important things. Somehow I ended up playing like a man-child.
Silly "thingy" to keep kids busy when there is no electricity:
1. A bottle of water with glitter.
This is simple, put some water inside a bottle, few glitters. Then shake the bottle and watch the glitter dance around.
An alternative for glitter: Use a bag of potato chips, simply cut the bag of potato chips into tiny pieces.
At night you can also shine a flashlight/torch under the bottle of water.
2. Reading or telling stories.
It's not ideal to read in the dark.
A fun silly twist on telling stories is to make the kids hop in and share what they think should/would happen next.
3. Candle and wax (Warning! Adult supervision is advised!!)
I was bored yesterday and I saw a piece of paper on my desk.
I kinda "draw" using candle-wax? So I place a piece of paper on my deck and move the candle around and wait for it to drip. I know~ I'm weird.
What do you guys do when there is no electricity?
