Everything in this game is totally customizable, your gender, eyes, hair, height, body type, even like and dislike. Be anyone you like and live your life with Cove Holden, whatever you're like him or not, your relationship level is mirrored with him. You like him? He like you, you indifferent with? He's in indifferent with you as well.
Not only this game allow you to customize anything, your choice is matter! Have black hair? The story will include that detail like when someone touch your hair they will say "Your black hair". Have a birth mark in some place? At some point that mark will be mention in the story or have hobby you like? That's going to be a topic in certain point.
Also, you can customize Cove personality and appearance everytime a Step is done. Step here is mean phases and there's 4 in total : Children, Teenager, Young Adults and Adults.
Want to be best friend with Cove? Of course you can! Or you want to be a lovey dovey couple with him? Absolutely doable!
If you doesn't feel like choosing for Cove personality, your choice throughout the game actually choose how he will be like personality and appearance wise.
You make memories with him, and he remember.
You also have family you will be interacting with you had Mom and Mommy also your older sister! There's also Cove's dad Mister Holden.
