APK Editor Pro "Error"

Ok. So the basics of this.
I've been using the same version of apk editor pro for a long time and never had an issue. 1.8
But all of a sudden when i use a patch or try to manually add something i get this error

Happens mostly with new Choice of games and not the older ones.
I've tried the newest version of apk editor (it sucks) but it still gives the same error.
I tried older versions, same error.

I can do all this on my pc if i have to, but I'm usually I the go and apk editor has been my go to for modding CoG games for a long time.

So does anyone have an idea of what this error means and how i can fix it.?

Hi. First of all I am big fan of your work.

I haven't used this app in long time and today I opened it to modify an apk and I ran into same problem. If you were able to solve the problem please guide me through it. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello, there @Axiom well here are three things you might do to fix the error:

1. Decompile again to a different folder and copy res/values/public.xml over
2. Use version 1.8.28 of the app
3.Create a new xml ids.xml in values with all the id values which are to be constant
