Game Progress Data Back up

Hi Guys

Im really enjoying all the games and mods that all the modders create for us
Everytime there is a update to the game, i have to start over and loose all my progress

most games do not backup to FB but only google play

is there a way to back up my game progress (without rooting) and then after installing updated APK just coping progress over and continue where i left off
Your assistance here will be greatly appreciated

Titanium backup might help. I never tried because I often play games that save on the cloud or link to Google Play Games, Facebook, Nintendo etc.
