Grand Theft Auto Online is an acquired taste, but the game has amassed a huge following. And that the sequel is set to grow after the game launched the story DLC this month featuring Grand Theft Auto V’s Franklin and musical legend Dr. Dre.

Here’s what we know so far: The DLC will be called “The Contract” and will be released on December 15th. The story takes place a few years after the Grand Theft Auto V story ends and Franklin has made some major moves to expand his influence.

To this end, he set up a company called F. Clinton and Partner. The company specializes in providing solutions to wealthy celebrities and influencers, allowing Franklin and the company to interact with some colorful characters.

GTA 5 fans will love the return of Lamar, who now has his own drug empire. When Lamar and Franklin meet, they come up with a plan that should catapult Franklin’s commercial venture to a whole new level.

This is the basic story, but there are many other elements that should satisfy fans of the franchise. For example, there is a mission where you have to track down Dr. Dre’s phone and help him retrieve some unreleased music tracks on the device. Since Franklin promises “celebrity fixes,” helping Dre retrieve his phone can potentially put his business on the map in a big way.

Speaking of Dr. Dre, we will hear some popular and even unreleased music as part of a major update of the radio stations in the game. There will also be a new radio station with promised special hosts, and many fans are convinced that one of these hosts will be another musical legend: Snoop Dogg.

Rockstar has promised further updates in the coming days. But honestly, what we know so far already sounds pretty exciting. And a successful DLC launch could help Rockstar win back some fans after the disastrous launch of their remastered GTA trilogy.
