Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from EA and Respawn Entertainment launched today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.

Leaks from UK retailers yesterday suggested the game would be released on June 11 for next-gen consoles, despite there being no official announcement from the publisher.

Those who have already purchased the title on PS4 or Xbox One can upgrade to the advanced edition for free. Meanwhile, the game is available as a standalone purchase for just $ 40 in digital and brick-and-mortar stores.

Those who have physical versions of the previous version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order can still get the update at no additional cost. Users will only need to send proof of purchase to EA to receive a download code to get the next generation edition.

Save data can also be transferred between platforms, but only on the same console family. There are also two different modes that gamers can choose to play in: a performance mode that will lock the frame rate at 60fps with a resolution of 1440p, and a quality mode that runs at 30fps with a 4K resolution.
