Rockstar Games, the developer of GTA Online, honored a player who found a way to speed up the game’s loading times with a bounty of $ 10,000.

Github user t0st recently revealed a fix for GTA Online, which drastically cuts down on the significant load times that players have to endure when starting it for the first time. Correction of T0st reduces loading times by up to 70%.

In a post explaining the solution, t0st stated how the problem was due to a single bottleneck that they were surprised Rockstar had missed in the seven years since the launch of GTA Online for the first time. According to the programmer, their method of reducing the load “shouldn’t take more than a day to fix by a single developer.”

Following this revelation, Rockstar has now confirmed that it will implement the fix in GTA Online following an investigation into its effectiveness. Speaking with PC Gamer, a spokesperson said:

“After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that player t0st has, in fact, revealed an aspect of the game code related to the loading times of the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved. As a result of these investigations, we have made some changes that will be implemented in an upcoming title update. “

The studio also announced that it will reward t0st with the $ 10,000 bounty that’s usually reserved for those who find critical security bugs or problems with its games.
