Samsung wants to enter the Apple M2 chip production

Samsung is one of those suppliers for Apple and is producing FC-BGA substrates which are critical for modern high-density chips with circuit connections. Of course, the Korean tech giant also wants to participate in the production of M2 chips.

The so-called Samsung Electro-Mechanics arm is close enough to conclude a deal with Apple to produce the same FC-BGA substrates for the upcoming M2 chip. This report coincides with recent reports from Samsung that it has invested over $ 1 billion in building an FC-BGA manufacturing facility in Vietnam and has invested over $ 241 million more in an existing factory in South Korea.
