Google’s latest update for its Pixel Watch 4 brings with it two new features. First, you get more gestures. These were recently revealed through an in-depth analysis of the code.

Now you can double-pinch and rotate your wrist to control various watch features without ever touching the screen. Examples include swiping notifications, dismissing them, snoozing alarms, managing a timer or stopwatch, pausing music, selecting a smart reply, and answering and ending phone calls. Tips will appear on the screen to let you know when you can use these gestures.

Secondly, Smart Replies are now improved for both the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Watch 3. The new Smart Replies use the Gemma-based language model on the device, which is twice as fast and nearly three times more efficient at using memory than its predecessor.
