Lenovo is expected to announce the fifth-generation Lenovo Y700 gaming tablet next month, and the company has started showing off the device on Weibo. The teaser was immediately followed by a tip from Digital chat stationrevealing more details.

Official posters on Weibo confirm an 8.8-inch display with 3040 x 1904px resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate, 2640 Hz touch sampling rate for faster response during gaming, 800 nit maximum brightness, and 12-bit color depth. This will likely be the same display as last year’s model.

And while the poster doesn’t say anything about the display technology, it’s probably safe to assume that it will be LCD, as the Weibo tipster confirmed.

Furthermore, Digital chat station it lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and 68W charging as part of the spec sheet. The base storage option offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but beefier 16GB/512GB and even 24GB/1TB options will also be available.

The battery capacity will be 9,000 mAh, a significant upgrade over the previous model with 7,600 mAh.
