EA streamed its EA Play Live 2021 event today, which revealed a whole host of new games and announcements for eager fans. In addition to revealing several upcoming projects, the publisher has also released many trailers and screenshots to help gamers get excited.

Here we take a look at EA Play Live 2021’s biggest announcements.

Dead Space is returning

It has been rumored for several weeks now, EA has confirmed that its survival horror series Dead Space has been revived. From what is shown, it looks like a modernized remake of the original classic that will include improved visuals to take advantage of the hardware behind next-generation consoles. According to EA, it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, there is currently no release date.

Lost in Random is a gothic fairytale adventure

One of the first announcements during the live stream was Lost in Random. This is a gothic fairytale action-adventure game from Swedish developer Zoink. EA has revealed a trailer for the title and has confirmed that it will launch on September 10th.

Knockout City Season 2 is on the way

Following the successful launch of Knockout City, Velan Studios is now working on a second season of content. This will include a constantly changing movie-inspired map along with a host of additional playlists, items, and rewards.


Apex Legends: Emergence is coming soon

Respawn has finally confirmed ongoing rumors that Apex Legends’ next big event will be called Emergence. This update will bring a brand new hero known as Seer to the Battle Royale game. A more in-depth gameplay trailer will arrive on July 26 before the update launches on August 3.

Grid Legends is a narrative pilot

Now that Codemasters is part of the EA stable, the developer is working on the Grid series with a new entry known as Grid Legends. This story-based racing game will give players the opportunity to race with various vehicles, including open wheel drivers and big trucks. It debuts in 2022.

Battlefield 2042 is getting a creative mode

Finally, EA announced that the upcoming Battlefield 2042 shooter will include a new mode known as Battlefield Portal. This will allow players to remix various modes and playlists with a variety of maps from the new game and old Battlefield titles. It will be available alongside the full game at launch on October 22.
