Game
The gameplay can also be overwhelming, as there are so many different systems and elements to be aware of. At its most basic level, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 requires you to build a fleet large enough to take into battle.
Then, players can win star systems to add to their empire, providing more resources as they advance. You spend most of your time out of combat carefully building your limited resources. At times the game can feel as if it is losing too much in handling like a 4X title rather than an RTS.
Despite the complexity of the various management aspects, the game does a good job of explaining things on the fly. The tutorial isn’t the ultimate in teaching what you need to know, but it does enough.

Fight
When it comes to fighting, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 truly has its own. You can set up a number of autopilot features, such as ordering ships to take out certain enemy units first. This is useful as it gives you more time to focus on your faction’s special abilities.
Winning a match is as simple as collecting enough battle points while holding certain sectors long enough. Of course, you can always wipe out the enemy fleet completely. Getting into the right position is key to doing this, allowing your ships to fire their sidearms.
This isn’t the only way to play, though. Each of the three factions has their own unique play styles. Some, like the Necrons, are focused on stealth while the Imperials are more like a traditional navy. This means that there are many ways to play Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2.
