What are the graphics like in Hitman 2? Mostly good.

The reason why I say “mostly” is the videos. While the gameplay graphics look very solid (Agent 47 never looked this good), the cutscenes look as though the game’s budget has suddenly been ripped off.

This is because they are little more than storyboards with voiceovers – just still images to give you the minimal information about the characters’ plots and backgrounds.

To put it simply, it’s very jarring to go from smooth motion graphics to static frames. But that wasn’t enough to detract from the gaming experience.

Final verdict

Is it worth buying Hitman 2? Decidedly!

Sure, there are some warts in the form of those static footage and the cardboard texture.

But the truth is, no one does “sandbox assassin” like the Hitman series, and this game is the best entry in the franchise so far. For starters to the series or returning veterans, Hitman 2 is a hell of a time.
