Hypnospatial Outlaw Review | Gammick

Presentation

If Hypnospace Outlaw nails humor, it also does a terrific job with presentation. It looks just like the internet in the late 90’s. This was a time when people were able to create their own sites and create communities. There were few tools for creating professional-looking content, so everything had some sort of amateur feel to it. However, this was a time of creativity and excitement.

From this point of view, Hypnospace Outlaw feels just fine. A great selection of music spread across the sites helps immensely. From basic electronic tunes you’d expect to find on Flash animated sites to full blown original tunes. All of them add character and help create an eerie atmosphere.

Final verdict

Oddly enough, Hypnospace Outlaw ends up being a great detective game. While you are not a police officer in the conventional sense, your role as an Enforcer involves similar work. Instead of using clues to solve a murder, you are attempting to shut down file sharing operations.

The puzzles force you to go out and investigate. Complete with notepad, you are sent to this strange version of the internet to hunt down clues. It’s an immensely satisfying experience that comes with some solid humor and excellent presentation.
