World building
Along with Henry’s actions directly affecting his reputation in a city, NPCs also react to the protagonist’s appearance. Nobles are less likely to offer a hand if the person approaching smells and looks like a sewer. Fortunately, Henry can visit a local bathhouse to remove the dirt.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s world building is its greatest asset. Bohemia looks like a fully functioning kingdom, destined to last even after the credits. Warhorse’s attention to detail is commendable, and few valuable RPGs offer such an organic universe to explore.

Missions
Patience is the name of the game. Kingdom Come: Deliverance rewards effort for achievement, which extends to progression and weapon systems. Skills are improved through practice. Do you want a faster mount? Ride a horse to level up Henry’s skill. Struggling with a sword? Engage in some training or scour the countryside for bandits or Cumans looking for a challenge. Once certain levels are reached, new perks are unlocked accordingly.
Weapons
Along with fists, Henry has his choice of swords, maces, axes and bows. Although variety may be the spice of life, Kingdom Come fails to make much of a case for any class other than blades. Compared to the nine advantages of the Sword skill and the multiple sub-categories of blades, the meager three unlockables of Mace and Ax are disappointing. With absolutely no relevant combat advantages to learn, archery is best left for hunting. Bohemia also comes stuffed with various pieces of armor for you to discover, equip or sell.
