Game

As soon as the player takes the controller, it is easy to see that The Last of Us Part II is great to play. It feels like a smoother and more refined version of the original game mechanics. However, there are some updates to the formula. While that doesn’t make the game incredibly fresh or new, it’s progress in the end.
Stealth and combat are both major mechanisms that the player will use throughout the game. Of course, there are a few ways to improve the player character as the game progresses. Fans of the former will recognize the upgrade systems, as they haven’t changed much. The standout improvement would be the gun workbench animations.
These animations are a lot of fun to watch and are also very satisfying. They have no effect on the game significantly, but seeing your upgraded weapons used in combat is a nice bonus.
A slight downside to the gameplay that looks so good is the lack of a multiplayer component this time around. The game doesn’t require it or requires it at all, but the original game’s multiplayer in this style would have been a nice gift for gamers.
