Round

One point where Surviv.io is one step ahead of all the competition is the time it takes to get into a game. With other battle royale games, you have to wait for the game to load, then the lobby is populated and then load into whatever method of deploying on the map, be it battle bus or Zepplin.
With Surviv.io you load the site, click Play in whichever game mode you want to play, alone, in pairs or in teams, choose which server you want to play on once and click Play. Not even a second later you will find yourself in hostile territory surrounded by killing circles. My biggest complaint with battle royale games has always been how long it takes to get into a game, and Surviv.io destroys the competition in that respect.
Pair that with the fact that rounds tend to be much shorter in Surviv.io, lasting roughly five minutes from entry to exit. Hence, you can get a lot more games in one session than other battle royale games, allowing players who are short on time to get their adrenaline rush. The simple graphics also mean that anyone on any machine can play as long as they can run a current version of their favorite Internet browser.
There are always thousands of players on a given server which means you are not waiting to join a game. And with crossplay with all the platforms Surviv.io is available on, you’ll never be short of people to play against on any of the 10 available maps. Some maps are seasonal, like a spring map with cherry blossoms, which is surprisingly beautiful to look at considering how simple the graphics are.
Final verdict
All in all, Surviv.io is a fun way to pass some time if you’re looking for something that’s not too cerebral. It simply allows you to relax and enjoy. You will find yourself being invested in your little circle as time goes on, leaning forward in your chair as the attempts in all of us struggle to get out of it. Surviv.io is one of the few games where I don’t get mad when I die. The time from clicking play to play and dying is so short that it makes no sense to get irritated.
