Bugs and glitches
Despite all this good work, WWE 2K16 has its fair share of problems. Bugs and glitches occur with alarming frequency. This is an issue that has plagued the series for several years and it seems the developers don’t know how to fix it. You will continually encounter technical difficulties and they can be incredibly frustrating. Playing against the AI still seems too difficult, with the need to execute a perfect strategy and have a lot of luck to come out victorious. That doesn’t stop WWE 2K16 from being a lot of fun with friends, but playing solo against the CPU may not be a fun idea for everyone.

Audio and images
The presentation also has ups and downs. While the character models are great and have very smooth animations, the overall look of the different arenas can be lacking. Even some of the lesser-known wrestlers aren’t as detailed as their more famous counterparts.
On an audio level, WWE 2K16 has done nothing to improve the commentary that begins to repeat itself even within the same game. Other sports titles certainly have an edge over this wrestling franchise in terms of looks and sound.
Final verdict
There is no doubt that WWE 2K16 is a far better game than its predecessor. While it may not be as good as some of the iconic wrestling games of the past, it has improved tremendously from previous 2K titles. The goal of making the title more accessible has also opened it up to a wider audience. Still, even with those improvements, it can’t be considered a great game. There are too many complaints in terms of technical performance and presentation to make it a must-play game for wrestling fans.
