He’s not the hero we deserve, but he’s the hero we need right now, okay?
This is the vibe of trailer no. 2 of Marvel’s Loki, which you can watch below. In it, the Asgardian adopted, in which we last saw Avengers: End of the game running away from his brother Thor with the Tesseract, he finds himself as the reluctant savior of the multiverse.
The trailer is based on the unlikely collaboration of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius (Owen Wilson), a member of the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization tasked with monitoring the multiverse and preventing dangerous timelines.
“We protect the correct flow of time,” says Mobius. “You picked up the Tesseract, breaking reality. I want you to help us solve it. “
For Loki fans who have seen the character go from villain to anti-hero and back to villain over the past 10 years, it’s an opportunity for the fan-favorite god of evil to finally embrace his heroic side.
“Do you really believe in this variant of Loki?” asks Judge Renslayer of Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
“Fortunately he believes in himself enough for both of us,” Mobius replies.
The trailer is a blend of humor, action and Easter Eggs. Fans will see Loki’s iconic dagger move that was used in trailers for Thor: Ragnarok but cut out of the final film.
Gamers in particular will love the look of Polybius, an urban legend game that never really existed. It suggests that Loki visits a timeline where he really exists.

Meanwhile, fans speculate that Black Widow and the planet of Vormir (where she died) make an appearance.

Loki will debut June 11 on Disney +. The six-episode series also stars Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. It is directed by Kate Herron and Michael Waldron is the lead writer.
