PlayStation 5 exclusive return postponed until April

The comeback was delayed for a month until April 2021 in an effort to add some last-minute refinement to the title.

The game, which is a PlayStation 5 exclusive that was first announced in June 2020, was originally supposed to launch on March 19. However, Sony has revealed that the release date has been postponed to April 30th.

The announcement was confirmed in the tweet below, with Sony saying the delay “will give the team more time to continue perfecting the game.” This seems to ensure that it meets the expectations of the players when it is released.

Update: Returnal has a new release date of April 30, 2021. SIE and Housemarque have decided to move the release date to give the team more time to continue perfecting the game to the level of quality players have come to expect from Housemarque.

Returnal is a third person shooter with rogue-like elements. Players take control of Selene after the character crashes into a strange world that can change shape.

Each death will result in the procedurally generated world changing its forms and Selene will have to restart her journey to escape the planet. Players also have the opportunity to purchase and find upgrades that will make future races easier.
