Edwards Urbina snapped photos with a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra days before the new flagship was officially unveiled. It has now moved on to showcase the phone’s improved video capabilities.

Here is a 4K 60fps sample uploaded to YouTube:

Unfortunately, this is the only one uploaded so far. Urbina has posted multiple videos to Twitter, but the social network doesn’t handle high-resolution video so well.

However, here is a sample 8K video recorded with the 200MP main camera (based on the new ISOCELL HP2 sensor). It’s been compressed too much to speak of image quality, but notice how smooth it is: the Galaxy S23 series is finally getting support for 8K video at 30fps.

Here’s another 4K video at 60fps:

The second Twitter video was also recorded with the main camera. We’re not sure of the YouTube sample, however, that one looks zoomed in: It could be a digital zoom, or it could be one of the phone’s two telephoto lenses (3x and 10x).

While we’re at it, check out these camera examples from the Galaxy S23 Ultra. They’ve been resized by Twitter, so we can’t enjoy all the detail captured by the 200MP sensor in this shot:

And here are two pairs of images showing 10x telephoto optical magnification and the same at 30x digital zoom:

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series (plus Galaxy Book3 laptops) will be officially presented on February 1st (Wednesday). The three new smartphones have been leaked widely, and we’ve even started to see pricing details in recent days. Spoiler alert: Current information indicates a price increase, so you may want to secure your early booking discount while you still can.
