Amazfit launched the T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch last year in four colors: Ember Black, Astro Black & Gold, Wild Green and Desert Khaki. These are joined by a blue model called Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition).
Amazfit has launched the T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) to celebrate and honor World Oceans Day. The brand also wants to deepen its sustainability drive with this special edition of the T-Rex 2 as it will donate $10 for every Ocean Blue (special edition) T-Rex 2 purchased to Coral Guardian to support its coral restoration project in the Marine Protected Area of Hatamin in Indonesia. Clients will receive a certificate of appreciation for contributing to the project and photographs of the restored coral after it has come back to life.

Amazfit says the T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) is “inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the spirit of ancient explorers who braved the seven seas”, with its design reflecting the strength of the ocean.
The Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) comes with a repurposed silicone strap, which looks great. And because the special edition is created with an emphasis on sustainability, it is available in 100% eco-friendly materials, including biodegradable plastic which accounts for only 6% of the entire packaging, biodegradable non-mineral ink and biodegradable galvanized aluminum which is used in the hot stamping process.

The packaging of the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) also looks different from the regular models since it is blue in color.
That said, the difference between the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) and the standard versions is only aesthetic since the former shares all the specifications and features with the regular models. You can read our coverage of the T-Rex 2 launch here to find out more.
The aesthetic difference comes with a higher price tag, however, since the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) is priced at $229.99 (INR 18,960) in the US and €229.90 (INR 20,430) in Europe, while the regular version is currently sold for $189.99 (INR 15,660).
The special edition T-Rex 2 is available for pre-orders in the US and Europe via the official Amazfit website, with deliveries starting June 15th.
