In September, Amazfit GTR 4 was launched, a 46mm smartwatch with a large 1.43-inch round display. It is too big? Then check out the new Amazfit GTR Mini, which has just arrived in India priced at ₹11,000 (the GTR 4 costs ₹17,000). By the way, the GTR Mini launched in the US, UK and EU a couple of days ago at $120/£130/€130.

The main feature of Amazfit GTR Mini
The Mini earns its name with its 42mm frame, which is also thinner and lighter at 9.25mm and 24.6g, compared to 12.4mm and 34g for the large model. The watch accepts 20 mm straps with a quick release mechanism (the included strap is made of skin-friendly silicone).
The Mini has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326ppi, the same sharpness as the big one. Both watches promise up to 14 days of battery life. The smaller model has a 280mAh power cell, which takes a couple of hours to charge.

While smaller and cheaper, the Mini is nearly as capable as the GTR. The watch has a built-in GPS receiver with Amazfit’s patented circular polarization antenna, which increases signal reception. The watch supports 5 global positioning systems in total (note: the larger model also supports dual-band positioning). The battery can last up to 25 hours with continuous GPS tracking.
The GTR Mini has over 120 sport modes and with its 5 ATM (50m) water resistance rating, it can swim with you too. The fitness data recorded by the watch can be shared with Google Fit and Apple Health, as well as apps such as Strava, Relive and Adidas Running.

For health monitoring, the watch monitors your heart rate and SpO2 24/7. The sensor is fast enough that the One-Tap Measurement feature can report its result in just 15 seconds . Sleep tracking detects light, deep and REM sleep and keeps an eye out for any breathing problems while you sleep. When you wake up, you will be greeted with your (customizable) morning update.

Like its big brother, GTR Mini runs ZeppOS 2.0, which supports third-party apps. You can add membership and club cards through the Zepp app, and create convenient shortcut widgets that can quickly display important information like your to-do list or alarm clock. Of course, you can see notifications from your phone on your watch. However, you can take calls (there are no speakers or microphone on board).

You can find the Amazfit GTR Mini on Amazon India, where it will be available soon at the aforementioned price of ₹11,000. You can choose from three colors: Midnight Black, Misty Pink and Ocean Blue.
