Keeping up with its annual tradition, Apple has launched a limited edition variant of the AirPods for Chinese New Year. This year is for the new second generation AirPods Pro, which have been engraved with a special pattern for the Year of the Rabbit.
The limited edition model features a custom engraving on the charging case. The same motif also appears on the box but in colour. Other than that, the model is identical to the standard variant, even in price.
Apple has been making these variants for a few years now. For 2022, Apple has released a limited edition Year of the Tiger variant of AirPods Pro and Beats Studio Buds. For the previous year, there were the limited edition Ox AirPods Pro.
The limited edition AirPods Pro will be available in online and retail stores in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Additionally, Apple is offering up to RMB 1000 off select products in these regions from December 30 to January 2.
