The Apple Music Classical app reached six Asian markets earlier this month: Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Back then it invited users to “pre-order” and today, two weeks after the initial launch, the service is finally available.

The service is free for all Apple Music subscribers but also works with a standalone app. It provides over 5 million classic songs in high-resolution lossless audio, and people can subscribe through their Apple account.
The Classical streaming service has content exclusive to its app and a different interface that provides information on the name of the work, orchestra, conductor, participating artists and year of recording. The Browse tab is also designed differently from the regular Apple Music app to better meet niche demand.
