Earlier this year the Chinese BOE would make a deal with Apple to supply OLED display panels for the next iPhone 14 series. That deal appeared to be under discussion in May as BOE changed the display circuit design. which prompted Apple to suspend its orders. Now, that of South Korea The Elet is reporting that Apple is re-evaluating sample BOE displays and may proceed to place a large-scale order.

Based on sources familiar with the matter, if the BOE received the green light from Cupertino it would seek to begin production of full-capacity displays between July and August. The new report specifies that BOE OLED panels would be used for the iPhone 14 and 14 Max while the iPhone 14 Pro series would get Samsung and LG panels instead.
