Yesterday, a Taiwanese media report said that Asus is discontinuing the Zenfone smartphone series and will transfer its employees to the ROG Phone department as part of its organizational restructuring. However, the brand has issued a press release refuting those claims, saying the report is “not true.”

Asus is also said to have cut the number of employees in its PC departments in China and Taiwan. While Asus has not commented on the layoffs in the PC department, the brand has assured that its Zenfone and ROG Phone product lines will not be disrupted.
“We would like to address the rumors that Asus Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of the series and that the Asus Zenfone product line will be shut down. This is not true.
