Dji announced the new Osmo Nano camera. The dwarf is an ultra-compact wearable camera designed to be mounted everywhere.
Osmo Nano has a two -part design that consists in the tiny body of the main camera and a detachable multifunctional vision basin that houses the display and other electronics. The main camera weighs only 52 g while the dock is another 72g. The camera is waterproof up to 10 m but the dock is only classified IPX4 and cannot be taken underwater.
Osmo Nano presents a new 1/1.3 “CMOS sensor with a resolution of 6880×5160 and 13.5 arrests of the dynamic range. It has a visual field of 143 ° and a minimum focus distance of 35 cm.
The main body of the camera has an integrated storage and battery. It is possible to obtain 64 GB or 128 GB of internal space and the dock supports microSD expansion up to 1 TB. There is also a 520 mAh battery on the camera and a 1300 mAh battery on the dock. The camera can record up to 90 minutes of 24fps video from 1080p but up to 200 minutes if connected to the dock and the display off. The camera can only be loaded when it is connected to the dock and it takes about 20 minutes to reach 80%.
Speaking of the display, you get a 1.96 -inch 314×556 resolution touchscreen on the dock with a peak brightness of 800 nit. The display can be used for monitoring while the camera is connected but also in wireless mode with the separate camera module.
