Although Epic Games won a decisive judicial battle with Apple at the beginning of this month, allowing Fortnite to be accessible through Apple’s official App Store, the game has not yet returned to iOS. According to the Epic Games Tim Sweeney CEO, there is no reason for Apple to delay the revision process.
Each app undergoes an extended revision before being published on the App Store and it seems that the Apple review team is on purpose resistance to Fortnite despite the decision of the court to allow epic games to offer an external payment system that does not pass through Apple.
The dispute began in 2020 when Epic Games sent a version of the app that included an external payment system, violating the rules of Apple, which prohibit the payment methods that circumvent the Apple payment system.
Since then the field has decided in favor of Epic Games. Of course, Apple has appealed to the most recent sentence and is asking the Court to pause any change of App Store until the court takes its final decision.
