Samsung expected the Galaxy S23 series to outsell its predecessor and managed to achieve this.
Ahead of the Japanese premiere of the Galaxy S23 series on April 20, the company confirmed that the trio is outselling its predecessors by 1.7x in Latin America, 1.5x in Europe and the Middle East, and 1.4x in in India.
The series surpassed one million copies in South Korea in a similar time frame to the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung will celebrate one million sales in South Korea with bonuses for buyers: KRW 100,000 vouchers or compensation for damages.
Samsung has announced that the flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra series accounts for 60% of total sales with the Galaxy S23 and S23+ each contributing 20%. It would have been great if Samsung provided the real numbers.

Samsung will release the Galaxy S23 series in Japan on April 20, as well as select countries in the Middle East and Africa.
Samsung’s pre-order bonuses have certainly paid dividends, while the new 200MP main camera and the fact that the entire lineup has gone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy have also exclusively contributed.
