For years now, we’ve felt the need for a way to compare the relative sizes of different phones. We’ve tried making tools with static images, but it never seemed like the right fit. Instead, we worked with our partners at Binkies 3D to develop the 3D viewer we launched a few years ago to allow you to view two phones side by side and examine them from all angles.

You can choose from a list of over 700 phones (and growing) and view them side-by-side with another phone. Use our regular comparison feature, for example putting the iPhone 14 Pro and Galaxy S23 side by side, and you’ll see the new 3D Size Up buttons that let you jump straight to the 3D view.

Note: Our desktop site can show specs for up to three phones – there are buttons that let you compare any two in 3D with a single click.

We’ve also included a live demo below to help explain some of the features. The first is the Full Screen button in the lower right corner. This view also displays four buttons that let you quickly jump between front, back, and side views.

Apple iPhone 14

Samsung Galaxy S23

If you don’t see anything above, there are some potential problems. The demo above will not work if you are reading this on the AMP version of our site, use this link to jump straight to the 3D size comparison page. Another potential problem occurs in Chrome: the 3D renderer doesn’t work if hardware acceleration is disabled (look for “Use hardware acceleration when available” in Settings).

Another cool thing is that you can switch between different color options for the two phones. Binkies 3D models recreate the colors, gradients and surface finish of phones so you can see how each element – be it metal, glass or plastic – catches the light as you spin them.

As this is rendered in 3D, you have the freedom to view the phones from any angle. This allows you to examine differences that are difficult to convey using static photos. The curvature of a phone’s screen (and the back): check for example Find X5 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Once you’re on the Compare Sizes in 3D page, you can use the search fields to easily swap one model for another. The search on this page is filtered to only display phones with available 3D views. Go ahead and explore.
