Today Honor threw a big announcement party with a rainbow of products and a new Honor Pad 8 was among them. The new slate is a follow-up to last year’s Pad V7 and comes with a huge 12-inch display, Qualcomm chipset, and optional keyboard.

The Pad 8 screen is an IPS LCD with 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. There are tiny bezels on all sides, with the top one having a 5MP camera mounted on it. There is another 5MP shooter on the back.
The chipset here is a Snapdragon 680, while the RAM is 4GB, 6GB or 8GB. All three options come with 128GB of internal memory. Although Honor says nothing about a micro SD slot, we can sadly assume that there is none.

Pad 8 is a multimedia entertainment device and Magic UI 6.1 offers split screen support for over 6,000 apps. There are also widgets, floating windows and the ability to connect the tablet to some Honor smartphones.
The Honor Pad 8 weighs only 520 grams with a nice slim body of 6.9 mm. At the bottom is the USB-C port, used to charge the 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.
