Honor introduced the Play 40 Plus last October, and a year later, the company unveiled its successor, called the Honor Play 50 Plus.
Honor Play 50 Plus is powered by Dimensity 6020 SoC and runs MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. It has 256GB of inbuilt storage with two RAM options – 8GB and 12GB. The smartphone is built around a 6.8″ 90Hz FullHD+ LCD display with a punch-hole in the center for the 8MP selfie camera.

The back cover of the smartphone, which is reminiscent of that of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+, features two large circles aligned on the left that house the flash and a pair of cameras: 50 MP primary and 2 MP depth. Powering the entire package is a 6,000mAh battery with 35W charging support.
The rest of the Honor Play 50 Plus highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and Hi-Res Audio support (wired and wireless). The smartphone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port and 5G connectivity.

Honor Play 50 Plus color options
The Honor Play 50 Plus is available in four colors, with the 12GB/256GB model priced at CNY1,399 ($195/€185/INR16,275) and already available for purchase in China via the official Chinese website Honor. Honor is yet to reveal the price of the 8GB/256GB version.
