We have heard rumors that the next generation of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 will arrive this month, now the company has made it official: the premium TWS gems will be revealed in three days.
At least that’s how we’re interpreting the “coming soon” tweet. The black grille appears to be one of three microphones that will be used for noise cancellation on the new buds.

The FreeBuds Pro 2 will outperform their predecessor with 47dB (compared to 40dB) noise reduction, according to Win Future. In addition, they will offer high quality sound thanks to the new dual driver design and tuning by the French audio company Devialet. Gems will be Hi-Res Audio certified and will have a “Triple Adaptive Equalizer” available in the companion app. Another improvement over the old model is the IP54 degree of dust and water resistance.
By the way, it’s no coincidence that Huawei chose this coloring for the teaser image – it will be called “Blue Silver” and it’s a new addition to the monochromatic color palette used by the original Pro gems.

Either way, the tweet is from Huawei’s global Twitter account, so this launch won’t be limited to China alone. The FreeBuds Pro 2 are rumored to cost around € 200 in Europe.
