The Huawei Mate 50 series will arrive next month if we can trust various leaksters. The latest rumors claim that the vanilla Huawei Mate 50 will have a Snapdragon 888 chipset, limited to LTE, instead of an as yet unannounced Kirin 9000S platform that is likely reserved for the Mate 50 Pro.

User TechyPreacher posted a spec sheet on their Weibo page, revealing that the display will be an OLED by BOE with Full HD + resolution and no more than 6.38 “diagonal. It will also have a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Mate series is supposed to be the best Huawei can offer and this vanilla smartphone will have a triple 50MP camera on the back. RAM is listed as 8GB, while storage is 128GB or 256GB. The operating system will be the latest Harmony OS 3.

Other rumors claim that Huawei will introduce its own photography division called X Mage which is supposed to replace Leica in providing know-how on all photographic features. The company remains silent on an eventual launch, and while all of these specs sound like wishful thinking, the influx of leaks suggests an event is near.
