It’s been a while since the iPhone 16 launched, so you may have been anxiously awaiting the JerryRigEverything brand’s “durability test” this whole time. Well, the wait is finally over.

The cheapest iPhone of the 2024 generation is now prone to scratches, burns and bends (hopefully not on the latter). If you have popcorn handy, here’s the video.

In case you couldn’t watch for whatever reason, here’s a quick recap of what happened. Apple’s Ceramic Shield glass screen protector scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale with deeper grooves at level 7 just like any other glass, but the scratches are much less pronounced.

The chassis is made of aluminum (85% of which is recycled), the screen takes a living flame and survives and, finally, the phone is unyielding, both from the front and the back.
