Last week, Lee Young-hee, president of Samsung DX’s Global Marketing Center, confirmed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in Seoul, South Korea. Young-hee did not disclose the venue for the event, but today Samsung sent a press release to the media, confirming that the Galaxy Unpacked will be hosted in Seoul at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, as “this unique location offers the world an opportunity to experience the fascinating blend of past, present and future that defines Seoul”.
Since the first Unpacked in 2010 in Las Vegas, Samsung has held the Unpacked global event in major cities around the world, including Barcelona, Berlin, London and New York. And with the upcoming Unpacked taking place in Seoul, Samsung will change its direction for Unpacked for foldable to “focus on several trend-leading cultural cities around the world that closely align with each event’s designated theme.”

Samsung says Seoul was selected “for its role in influencing global trends with its dynamic culture and innovation, while also reflecting Samsung’s strong belief in the foldable category.”
Although Samsung has not revealed the name of the products it will unveil at this Galaxy Unpacked, it has confirmed that during the event it will unveil its next-generation foldable devices, namely Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5.
The Korean conglomerate also said that this Galaxy Unpacked will be held in the last week of July, partially confirming the rumors of the event taking place on July 26th.
