Xiaomi continues to fill its Poco line-up, which may soon welcome a new member of the M family. Like other devices from the brand, this appears to be a variation of an existing Xiaomi phone with some tweaks to make it ready for the global market.
The leaked images show that the Poco M4 5G will have a 6.58-inch LCD with FHD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate (240Hz touch sample rate). It looks similar to the Pro model, but this will be powered by a lower-tier MediaTek chipset: the Dimensity 700 (instead of 810).

Loss of Poco M4 Pro: 6.58 “FHD + 90 Hz display.
The camera setup follows the same path: keeping a 50MP sensor for the main camera, but doing away with the ultra-wide module (replaced with a 2MP depth sensor). Furthermore, the front camera dropped to 8 MP. Well, “down” from the pricier Poco M4 Pro, it’s actually an improvement over the similar Redmi 10 5G’s 5MP camera.

Another improvement over the Redmi is an IP52 rating – not enough to survive a dive, but enough to save the phone from an accidental splash of water. The M4 5G will reportedly weigh 200 grams and use the Poco brand design with a full-width camera island.
Either way, it will have a 5,000mAh battery, most likely with fast charging (for example, the Redmi 10 5G has 18W).

The Poco F4 GT was just announced earlier this week and we haven’t seen anything from the upcoming Poco event yet, but we expect to start seeing teasers soon.
