Every leakster is getting his two cents when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and it’s still months away. The latest is Yogesh Brar, who posted a list of key specs that corroborate previous reports about Samsung’s flagship coffee shop phone (but also refute some of them).

The Ultra is expected to follow Apple’s lead in using a titanium frame. This won’t have a major impact on weight, in fact, the new model is expected to be 1g lighter, at 233g. Obviously this is a switch from aluminum to titanium, while the iPhone Pros will lose some weight as they switch from heavier stainless steel.

We’ve heard the news that Exynos is making a comeback, but that appears to be a Galaxy S24/S24+ thing: the S24 Ultra is expected to exclusively use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (presumably the beefed up “for Galaxy” version).

The display will be a 6.8” LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution. It could switch to a flat design and is said to be super bright with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits (compared to 1,750 nits on the S23 Ultra). The bezels will be quite chunky, though.

There will be major upgrades to the rear camera, including a new 200MP sensor (HP25X). It will still measure 1/1.3 inch but will feature improved autofocus along with 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel binning. On top of that, the 3x telephoto lens will have a new 50MP (1/2.52”) sensor 0.7 µm pixel size before binning, compared to 1/3.52-inch 10 MP sensor with 1.12 µm pixel size). The 12MP Ultra Wide Camera and 12MP Selfie Camera will not be updated. The periscope module will attach to its 10MP sensor.

Also, it looks like the 65W charging rumors won’t pan out, and the new Ultra will keep the old 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Again, the S24 series won’t be out until next year, so the reliable rumors they will arrive in a couple of months.
