Oppo is continuing with its semi-annual release strategy for mid-range Reno devices, and since the Reno9 series was unveiled last November, we are getting very close to launching the upcoming Reno10 series. This too will presumably include three devices, according to Chinese sources: Reno10, Reno10 Pro and Reno10 Pro+.
The chipsets used by the first two were revealed today, along with a more comprehensive spec list for the higher-end model. The Reno10 is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G, which is the same SoC at the helm of its predecessor, the Reno9. The Reno10 Pro, on the other hand, will apparently go with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200, a small step up from the Reno9 Pro’s Dimensity 8100.

Oppo Reno9 family from last year
Now let’s talk about the best member of the family, the Reno10 Pro+. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, just like its predecessor. It will allegedly boast a 6.74-inch 120Hz curved touchscreen made by Tianma, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB and 512GB storage options, and a 4,700mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.
There will be a triple rear camera system, with a 50MP main shooter using Sony’s IMX890 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide using the Sony IMX355, and a 64MP periscope telephoto using the OmniVision OV64b sensor. On the front will be a 32MP snapper using the Sony IMX709 sensor, inside a centered hole. The frame of the phone will be plastic.
So, compared to the Reno9 Pro+, the new model adds the periscopic telephoto lens and increases the charging capacity from 80W to 100W. At first glance, these appear to be the only improvements, but the screen specs could be better too. All that remains is to wait for the official announcement to know for sure.
