Exactly one year ago, Qualcomm signed a partnership with the Ferrari F1 team, but the chipmaker’s logo was absent from this year’s Ferrari car that was unveiled yesterday. Today the explanation came as Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 unveiled their 2023 car and confirmed that Qualcomm is now one of its partners.

The partnership aims to offer unique online and offline experiences. Hopefully, Qualcomm is preparing some immersive VR or non-VR racing experiences involving the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team.

In addition, the technology company will help the F1 team create a state-of-the-art smart space at its UK campus using all of Qualcomm’s technologies. Here’s what Quacomm’s SVP and CMO, Don McGuire, had to say about it.
Snapdragon offers premium experiences and our partners are best in class. The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team is the leading technology team in F1, making it the ideal partner for the Snapdragon brand. Together, we are committed to reinventing the fan experience by bringing Snapdragon to fans around the world.
The partnership with Qualcomm goes beyond the Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance car. The company logos will be visible on the racing suits of the drivers, on the clothing of senior staff and even in the Mercedes garages.
